UGGGGGGGGH I have opinions about this article!!!!!
A) Susan G Komen does suck, and for 99.9 of the reasons stated there!
B) The author throwing “Patient Navigation” services out as “stupid” and “useless” is so fucking privelaged that I am vomitting bile here. I can NOT BELIEVE anyone would call someone who says PATIENT NAVIGATION IS BULLSHIT as a GOOD HUMAN BEING WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK, HOLY GODDAMNED SHIT.

WHY
Patient Navigation is really fucking important because a lot of it is helping poor/NOTWHITE/not middle class women get through the government’s system to GET HELP. People who are incredibly dedicated sit down, beat the pavement, call the government and insurance companies and help those who are suffering get what they CAN get through the system that exists. It’s fucking ROUGH being a patient navigator and it is a necessary service to the needy and underserved and privelaged. So SURPRISE SURPRISE someone bemoaning the lack of services to poor people THEN MAKES FUN OF A SERVICE FOR POOR PEOPLE.
This author sucks, and I can now have YET ANOTHER article I can’t link people to about Komen because the author reveals their disgusting views about poor people :3c
Oh and PS: Cancer treatment is SO expensive that few, if any, cancer charities provide it. HOWEVER, certain cancer charities have a seperate political wing that FIGHT for free healthcare coverage for cancer patients. See: Affordable Care Act, etc.
