Ham Shears and Cul-De-Sac are the best syndicated strips and I’ll have no arguments otherwise. The best thing about Ham Shears is that the context of this joke, if you’re a regular reader of the comic, isn’t that Ham Shears is this “sensitive male”. The plot is that he’s this fantastic cool guy who is also a pig who is a total pollyanna. As a longtime (well, for as long as it’s been on gocomics) reader, I look at this strip and don’t go HAHA HAM SHEARS RESPECTS WOMEN, I go HAHA HAM SHEARS FUCKING RULES, HE’S SO AWESOME. Anyway I just have super strong opinions about Comic Strips and I will talk your ear off about Ham Shears if I get the chance.
